I have learned from Middle East Forum that the Islamic Center of Detroit which published over 400 sermon videos promoting violent and extremist rhetoric on social media was awarded $45 million in public funding.

The prayer leaders ask God to “eradicate them from existence,” to “orphan their children as they orphaned ours, and demolish their homes as they demolished ours,” and to “destroy the state of the Zionists, O Allah, destroy them utterly”; one asks for “victory to our mujahideen brothers stationed in Gaza.” Other speakers voice support for convicted terrorists and praise jihad.

Middle East Forum reports that $500,000 in HHS funds were distributed to the Islamic Center of Detroit in October 2025 under the Trump administration based on policy obligation.

Please make sure that federal tax dollars are not given to any mosques or Islamist organizations in the future that promote violence or killing people.
