Dear Governor Abbott,

I have learned that EPIC City is rebranding to The Meadows with developers planning to move forward.  Additionally, I learned that a new Sharia Muslim based development is allegedly planned for Kaufman, Texas.

The development of Muslim communities based upon Sharia law which is antithetical to the rights afforded all Americans under the Constitution of the United States is illegal.  

Preventing non-Muslims from purchasing real estate violates federal law.  The Fair Housing Act of 1968 prohibits discrimination based on religion in housing transactions. While religious organizations may limit non-commercial housing to their own members, this exception does not allow discrimination based on race, color, or national origin.

Certainly your office is investigating and taking action regarding these alleged Muslim Sharia based developments. 

I urge you to stand strong.  Texas must hold the line for Texans and Americans at large.
