Dear Mayo Clinic officers,
I am disappointed that Mayo Clinic spends patient money to buy advertising on The ReidOut show. The ReidOut’s host, sit in hosts and some contributors practice anti-white labeling that is offensive, racist and likely inspires hate among some viewers of this show. Some examples of the daily instances of racism on Joy Reid’s show follow.
Joy Reid promoted the film “The Big Pay Back” on June 17, 2022 which she is co-executive producer of that pushes reparations that according to the film director is "for discrimination even still today because of the color of our skin."
On the April 25, 2022 episode of The ReidOut Reid’s guest Anand Giridharadas called Elon Musk and all white Twitter users racists and Joy Reid lashed out that at all white Twitter users on the right are racists.
Joy Reid had Anthea Butler, a professor of religion and the chair of the University of Pennsylvania Department of Religious Studies, on the May 9, 2022 episode of The ReidOut to promote her racist book titled “White Evangelical Racism.” Butler falsely claims that racism, not faith or position on many social issues, is the common denominator that binds all Christian conservatives together.
I am certain that Mayo Clinic would not support with its advertising dollars a white talk show host or white contributors making such false and offensive statements about black people. So will Mayo Clinic continue to advertise on Reid's show given its racist content?
Mayo Clinic certainly has the right to advertise on whatever shows it chooses. Likewise, I have the same right to voice my concern and not patronize companies that support racist, anti-white program content.
